Hi...what is the ideal n general frequency of MRP run when we are using strategy 40.
if we run monthly..then it may happen that demand may incerese in mod month, how the new requrnemrnt goes to production as no MRP run in between month. can individual MRP helps ?
what are general factor will have to considering while deciding MRP run.

It depend upon the business process to determine the frequency of MRP run. So as per your requirement you can set the frequency.

Use MDBT & SM37 are having same program (SAPLBTCH) . MDBT is Foreground job as well as Background job.
SM37 is only for Background job only.

Normally MRP run will happen daily in background mode by tcode MDBT.
MRP run will change depends on company applications.
Replinishment lead time of the product or assembly is the general factor will have to considere while deciding MRP run.

actaully i want to use the startgy 40, but now i m thinking to run MRP monthly, but in monthly suppose demad inceraes than recipt how production will get the increse qty in prodcution.
my rplenishment time is 10 days per piece. sales order can come in mid of month , if supose dnt have stock then it goes to production. now how can i consider this requirement.
