Hi Guys,

Thanks for your valuable points,still am not able to proceed further.

Followed your guidelines and was able to login with SAP*/pass and

successfully changed the password for DDIC, after that i tried to login with

DDIC and new password still end up with same old error "DB-error"

I created new user test1 and able to save it but not able to login with user

test1, got DB-error.

I deleted the user DDIC and tried to create a new user with below options

option 1:copy from SAP* (got error SAP* doesn't exist)

option 2:created a new DDIC user and was not able to login again (DB-error)

Option 3:DDIC/Pass for client 000- got incorrect user/password error & for client 001 got DB-error

Could you pls.guide me to proceed further.

Thanks,

Satya

Hi. DB-error --> This error comes for kernel , try to download latest kernel for your release (check unicode , not-unicode).

If you on installation stage, are you have correct kernel?

(for your SR release?)

Hi Satya,

The error is related to Kernel, Just get rid of all this and try updating the kernel to the latest one.

The db error is not seen again at the step where the installation was stopped.

Also, this error is at the step of updtaing sapview.tsk when you use wrong kernel & this get conflicted to the DB which is of not the version to be. So simple if your DBload step is in sucess & kernel is outdated sync to the lates one.

Then reatart the Sapmmc, login with SAP*- 06071992 & DDIC - 19920706, hope u know the rest:>

Hi,

To execute sql queries on the database, use the schema name it should be either SAPSR3, SAPR3 or SAP<SID> and not the <SID> as you have used such as AJ1. Such as:

SQL> select * from <Schema Name>.USR02 where bname ='DDIC'and mandt = '000';

Moreover, just delete the record of SAP* from USR02:

delete table <Schema Name>.USR02 where bname ='SAP*'and mandt = '000';

Then you will be able to login as SAP*/pass.

Once, you login reset tha passwordof DDIC to the default one either 06071992 or 19920706.

And this will solve your issue.

Hope this helps.
