Is there a way to count how many rows did the last select bring ?

Is there any equivalent in SAP's Open SQL to SQL%ROWCOUNT ? In other words, I'm looking for a statement that gives me the number of retrieved rows of a given select statement. Does such a thing exists for ABAP ?

(I know I can probably find a workaround using DESCRIBE TABLE... LINES and keeping count of the lines in a temporary table, but...)

Thanks,

Avraham
