Per diem Calculation

Hi Gurus,

I have one requirment in per diem calulation as below:

Employee is eligible $50 per day if he has not taken any lunch or dinner. If he takes either lunch or dinner then he is eligible only for $40. If he takes both lunch and dinner his eligibility is only $30.

If employee submits the original bill then he can clim actual amount instead of the above limits.

Can you anybody tell me what is the best solution for this.

Hi, Your requirement looks like penalizing the employee for taking lunch and dinner and in that case, almost all employees shall go for per diem rate of $50 without submitting any bills. Am I right or wrong in understanding your requirement? The solution is to have per diem allowance either as $50 or on actuals if the expenditure exceeds $50. Trust this helps much! Cheers!
