Issue with JUNK values in Reports

Hi All,

Please respond to this thread, very important to project the possibilities on this issue to my Client.

We had a daily report to a user with fields of Key figure type, which had exceptions.

There is a possibilty that for particular conditions the data will not be available for a field , which by default will be as "0", we had instead populated this by a Junk value 99999 (representing there is no data for that field),as the value "0" has atmost significance in that field.i.e "0" can also be an entry in it.

Now my user is not interested to see the Junk values in REPORTS, insted he wanted it to be replaced by a blank or with "DNA"(abbrev Data Not Available) instead of 99999.

We had even suggested for giving the same output with DNA with the key figure data populated into a CHARACTER, but again user need EXCEPTIONS, which can't be achieved....

quoting an example scenerio....

Sachin 99999(Junk Value)

here the values of field Marks can be from 100 to 0.

here we are not having the Marks of SACHIN so displying it with 99999, as value 0 interprets he acquired 0 marks.

now the report required is as...
