wat is d need 2 create notification in production?? while in other system we dont create it.

Could you plz elborate ur question,

Notification in plant maintenance used to identify the maintenance dept that equipment is under malfunctioning.

eg. if any user id is locked in production ..for dis also he raised a notification then only we basis guy unlock it. while in other system just by mail or by call .

why????????????

Probably your company is keen to have a record of all those things in a report form and also to have easy tractability, and it is in production only becuase production server is the live data environment and if data in production server get affected, that may cuase damage to the business, where as other server are not live transaction data, they for practice and developing of new scenarios in SAP.
