Assembly Planning Indicator in the Demand tab of the Location Product Maste

Hello

How is the Assembly Planning Indicator in the Demand tab of the Location Product Master set ?

Should this be set manually in APO or through R3 ??If manually, whats the best practise to maintain this indicator ?

Subassembly planning strategy 70 in R/3 gets transferred to APO as requirement strategy 20 with Assembly Planning indicator in the Demand tab of the Location Product Master .

Also wants to set is manually you can do it by MASSD tcode or LSMW.

Changing the strategy group to 70 in R3 didn't have any effect on the Requirement startegy in APO.

Assembly Planning indicator in the Demand tab of the Location Product Master as still unchecked. Are there any pre-reqs that needs to be checked ??

Please maintain below setting for Strategy 70 :

Strategy group 70 on the MRP screen.

Set the indicator for assembly planning, the Mixed MRP indicator, to 1 on the MRP screen.

Consumption parameters (Consumption mode, Bwd consumption, Fwd consumption on the MRP screen) to allow for consumption of planned independent requirements.

If you are using this strategy in a make-to-stock environment, you also must set the Individual/coll. indicator to 2 on the MRP screen.
