Hi Sanjeev,

Are you creating the RFC manually in SM59?

If you have a new R/3 system as a source system of the BW, then when you create that R/3 System in RSA1, it will automatically create the RFC both in source and the BW system.

you will need this to create a source system

- Source system details, IP/full host name, system no.

- Communication user in BW system

- Dialog/Service user having admin authorization in R/3 system

Once you do this, it will automatically create the RFCs successfully.

Hope this helps,

Debasis.

Hi Sanjeev,

Please check the RFC connection, both connection test, and authorization check, if its giving any error.

You can also check in RSA1, right click on the source system, and do a source system check.

Also have a look at the below blog if it can help

Thanks,

Debasis.

Hi Sanjeev,

Follow These steps to Create and configure RFC.

1) Tcode SM59.

2) Use ABAP(type 3) Connection type.

3) Type RFC name ,connection type(Must be Type 3).

4) Put the Server detail like IP and Instance number.

5) Go to logon and security tab.

6) Provide client number,User name,Password.

7) Save it .

😎 Press Remote Log on button.

9) It would be Successful if Provided info is Accurate.

Hi Sanjeev,

I will suggest to create the connection between BW & R3 using tcode RSA1 as this will create RFC connection between R3 & BW.

For that

1. Make sure both BW & R3 client( tcode scc4 & se06)is open & delete or rename old RFC connection between R3 & BW before you create a connect BW & R/3 System.

2.goto your BW system & put tocde RSA1.

3.Here select the R3 type connection( between R3 & BW)

4.It will ask for the R3 & BW user which u need to give it thr.

5.Then It asks for login. Login with a dialog user with all required auth.

6. This will create Logical systems & RFC connections between R3 & BW.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Sushil
