BI authentication popup when running report in CRM

When I run a report in CRM from the webUI I get a popup asking me to provide my user/pass to the BI system. Is there a way I can run a report in CRM without having to deal with this popup?

Hi Nick,

Assuming you're running CRM2007 outside an Enterprise Portal you need to make your "BI system trust the CRM system".

In this case I see that you might have to do the following things:

- Make sure that each CRM user has a corresponding user with the same userid in BI

- Configure a trusted system connection between CRM and BI instance (trx. STRUST) so that CRM can talk RFC with BI without additional authentication.

- Configure BI to accept SSO2 cookies issued by the CRM system (trx. SSO2).

Please refer to the respective Netweaver AppServer ABAP documention to make sure you fully understand the concepts and how to configure.

Side remark: As this is security sensitive topic make sure you have an alignment with the respective IT admin people of your company/ your project's company.
