Does anyone use Web Dispatcher and Netweaver system on the same host?
Have you met the any perfromance problem or emergency shutdown?

you shouldn't have any problem installing web dispatcer on the CI..
you can follow Note 928952 for Web Dispatcher Installation based on NW 7.0(2004s).

The answer to your question is "It depends" on the amount of HTTP(S) requests into your system and I do see some stabilty issues, but that is not unusual as I work in support
You can install the webdispatcher on the CI & DI or any other server. I have uploaded the sizing webdispatcher document at the link below. You can use this document to see how many SAP's you require for your webdisp and CI.

We have installed WebDispatcher in CI and it works fine in a developement system used by 500 developers. Please do go-ahead install the Webdispatcher in CI itself.

We have no met any memory problems. All depends on your servers capacity and parameters. Please look at http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/96/eb9e24a06d4a8b883fbb8bf4489ae8/frameset.htm
As you can see, SAP Web Dispatcher does not consume memory at all. I think it does not need much processor as well.
