Hi

OS: Win 2000 PAck level 4

Now I need to make sure that i have installed latest Microsoft C runtime dlls of versions 71 with R3DLLINS.EXE.

How can i make sure, it they are already available in my system?

and if not then as per SAP Note:

Other items:

1. msvcr71.dll, msvcp71.dll, mfc71.dll, mfc71u.dll

2. msvcr80.dll, winsxs, _popen, popen, vcredist, c-runtime

I can see dll file mentioned infirst row are already available in windows\systems32

but following files are missing:

msvcr80.dll, winsxs, _popen, popen, vcredist, c-runtime

On top of that there is an attchment (r3dllinst.zip) file and

there is a link for Windows X86 (32-bit):

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=200B2FD9-AE1A-4

A14-984D-389C36F85647&displaylang=en

File name: vcredist_x86.exe

NOw first of all i need to know:

1. if i have need to install Microsoft C runtime dlls of versions 71 with R3DLLINS.EXE.

2. then among (r3dllinst.zip) file and file mentioned in link vcredist_x86.exe

Hi,

You are using SAP Release 620, so in your case it is not required to install the missing files , it's optional

if you still want to install it then download R3DLLINST.ZIP (which is attached to Note 684106 - Microsoft runtime DLLs )

Extract it and execute R3DLLINS.EXE

Hi,

vcredist_x86.exe contains C-runtime 8.0 which is used with SAP Releases 4.6D EX2, 6.40 EX2, 7.01, and 7.10 and subsequent releases on x86 platform

Hi,

I already answered that

you are using R3 4.7 ( Basis release 6.20 ) so both are not required in your case.

but if you want to update C - Runtime then use R3DLLINST.ZIP

vcredist_x86.exe is not required.

just take not chances and run R3DLLINS.EXE

this way, you'll make sure that is is installed.
