Dear Experts,
How intercompany stock transfer works during MRP run?
I mean if one company is purchaser and other is vendor and purchaser company's planned delivery time is 10 days and replenishment time in other company is 3 day then will system consider these two times in creating purchase requisition in first plant ( in MD04)?

Hi,
Say your purchaser is plant A, vendor is plant B. STO can make by spl.procurement key 40 in MRP2 view in plant A.
If you create requirement in plant A, system will create planed order for that material. In plant A, system will consider only planned delivery time of 10 days.
In plant B, system will create dep requirement. suppose if stock is not available that time system will consider to replinishment the material as 3 days.
This 3 days will not consider in Plant A.

Very true and I agree on this but if Plant A makes a Purchase order for Plant B and as you know that according to planned delivery time ,delivery date comes. then system will give the delivery date as per 10 days but plant B also needs 3 days to replenish then what would be the actual date in Purchase order of Plant A?
Plant A has to change their date manually in PO according to 3 days of Plant B?

Hi,
Normally in STO, system will transfer the material from vendor stock. In plant A system will create planned delivery date. It will transfer the material from vendor stock.
If the material is not available in stock system will create planning proposal in plant B. To produce the material in plant B, replinishment lead time is 3 days.
This lead time will not consider by plant A.

It means the date what system has given in PR for plant A will be the actual date for delivery from plant B. There is no link with 3 days in palt A. So if no stock is there in plant B then system will generate the planned order 3 days abck with respect to the planned time of 10 days in Plant A. Either this way or that material should reach in palnt A in 10 days. right?
Hi,
If no stock is there in plant B then system will generate the planned order on the dep req date, not 3 days abck with respect to the planned time of 10 days in Plant A.
But in planned order basic start date be in 3 days before from requirement date, this is depend on scheduling type what you have selected for planned order.

Deepak,
When you say 10 Days as Planned Delivery time (PDT), then this should include your replishment time of 3days from Vendor.
