Hello SAP-Guruu2019s
Whats the use of Quota Arrangement & Alternative Determination in Repetitive Mfg?
Any comments welcome & Thanks in advance.
Hi
Suppose you have couple of vendor which which you will place purchase order . Now how system will come to know what quantity is to be ordered from which vendor ?
Quota arrangement is made to solve this problem . You maintain it in MEQ1 with material , vendor and percentage with each vendor . e.g 60 % and 40 % for vendor A and B resp
You can also use this MEQ1 for mat which is inhouse produced and ext procured .
Mat master setting is maintain quota arrange indicator in purchasing view or MRP2 view .Quota arr. usage 3 or 4
Very importent : this will work with only those lot sizes for which split quota indicator is checked .
for exa ES
Please Reward if useful

Dear,
Quota arraignment is use to determine the source as if you use to manufacture the product on different production line then you can define the % of quota to be manufacture on each line according to your production version it is for in house manufacturing. But in case if it is external procurement material then we use to define raw material source i'e vendor by using quota.
Quota arrangement can be used if the demand (100) is created in which is define the ratio 70:30 on your production line as per production version .So it will create two planned order after MRP Run. Go to transaction MEQ1 maintain a quota arrangement for this material. In MRP 1 view choose lot size as 'ES' and in MRP 2 view maintain quota usage as 4.
