Hi guys.....
I am facing problem concern with MRP
1) i would like to know what is significance of MRP TYPE -PD / MRP TYPE-XO
2) if plan order is not created automatically in MD04 on the base of Demand managment requirment which parameter should check
Thanx in advance
With regards
Amit Naik
hi,
Further to the others reply,
MRP type PD means, It's a Demand Driven Planning. If you are created demand, automatically material will be planned based on the demand and stock.
To create automatic planned order in MD04, you need to check Planning strategy in material master (MRP3). Necessarily you have to fill this field and MRP type for all finished product to be delivered.

Dear,
Mrp type X0 means the material is relevant for APO and its planning is to be done in APO and not R/3
Preferred MRP type is PD & VB in R/3 which will create planned order according to the demend requiement.
MRP Type : X0 ("without MRP, with BOM explosion").
You should have APO System also inplace to use the MRP Type : X0.
If you haev implemented APO (SNP/PPDS) then you can plan your materials in APO.
All the Materials with X0 and relevant Master data and Transaction data should be tranesferred to APO viz. CIF (Core Interface).
This MRP Type should be asigned to the Header Material and if required (if you want to plan the components also) to the components.
You need to check,
MRP TYPE. Lot SIze,
Active version indicator in MD62,
Plant Shold active for MRP
Planning file entry should available for material...etc.
