Authorization for UD

Dear Experts,

There is a requirement that the quality inspector who is doing results recording and valuate the batch should not be allowed to do UD . Only the quality manager should be able to do the UD if the batch is rejected for any inspection characteristics. If no characteristics are rejected then the quality inspector himself should be able to do the UD.

Can we control this through authorization object in QM view of the material master or we need to do it through any user exit. Please guide me.

Regards,

Ram

Ram,

Why not set up the Auto UD program to run? Any lots that have no rejected characteristics will be automatically processed and the inspectors don't have to do anything. Then just take away QA11 and QA12 from your inspectors and only give the quality manager the access to QA11 and QA12.

Dear Snyder and Hemant,

Thanks for your suggestions. The requirement is that when all the characteristics are accepted , the inspector himself should able to do the UD , only when some characteristics are rejected then he should not able to do the UD and only the Quality manager should able to do the UD.

Thanks and Regards,

Ram

Hi

You can do it by assigning the QM Authorization group in QM view. Maintain the authorities as per your requirement for the group.

But I doubt if you can do it depending on the characteristic valuation.
