Hi Gurus,

When I am creating access sequence, the system gives a message, "the table is cross-client".

What do you mean by this message?

regards

Hi there,

Cross client tables in sense, you will not define the tables independently in DEV, QAS & PROD servers. You define them in DEV & then transport them into QAS & PROD. When access sequence is created, table sequence will also be transported into other servers. Which means that DEV & QAS cannot have different table search sequence.

System just tells you that if you make any changes in cross client tables, then you need to keep in mind that changes will flow into QAS & PROD.

Hi,

cross client means, If you change any thing in access sequence settings that will effect in other client also.

Eg. we have 2 clients 800 and 500.

If you create new access sequence in client 800, that will be available in 500 also, no need to transport from 800 to 500.

We can identify whether table is cross client or not with client field (MANDT) in table.

Access sequence table is T682, in this you don't find client field.

Condition type table is T685, in this table you find MANDT field. Condition types are client specific.
