question about daylight saving

Should SAP be stopped during the change in time due to daylight saving?

For example, if the time is moved 1 hour back, should SAP be stopped for that 1 hour and then restarted an hour later?

What's the normal practice?

Thanks in advance

Hi Sisab,

The Best Practise for any DST Changes across the globe is to keep your SAP and Database down when DST clock moves back or goes ahead.

This is because the timestamp in SAP and hence the database are collected from the O/S clock and if there are any discrepancies there, it may cause inconsistency or will cause inconsistency in SAP Application.

However, if the clock moves ahead you may not shutdown SAP make sure you do least activity during this time.

However, I would suggest to keep your SAP and Database down when DST happens.
