Crystal Reports XI R2 - Business View connection problem

Hi All,

I created a business view off of Oracle database.

I created Connection, Foundation Elements and BV for one Oracle database view.

I also created 5 commands from the same Oracle database view.

I was preparing to use these commands in Crystal Reports form my prompt / selection information.

I tested these databases in the Data Foundation by browsing the data fields and I can see the data just fine.

I finish and save all as a Business View.

When I create a blank Crystal Report and access the repository where this Business View is stored I can see everything just fine.

I add the fields then I add a field to the detail section to test.

I get ( Cannot Open Database ) then I press ok and I get ( Unknown Database Connection Error ).

I test a Business View I created from the Xtreme Sample database and everything works fine with Crystal Reports

Any Suggestions???.

Thanks for your help!!

Hi,

If your Enterprise is located on a different server and if you are using ODBC connectivity then make sure that both client and server should have DSN created with the same name.

Please let me know if it helps!

Thanks,
