Enable a field for Input in IE01

I am doing a validation on field Serial Number in a user-exit in transaction IE01.

I would trigger a error message based on the validation.

But the problem is, the field sernr is getting disabled once the message comes up.But I still want this to be input enabled so that user can correct the sernr.

I think, disabling that field sernr is standard functionality.

Thanks

Kiran

Hi,

Try the validation with Field Exit for the field. It will allow to reenter the value for the field.

you may try in these exits:

IEQM0001 Add. checks for equip. installation at functional location
IEQM0002 Additional checks for definition of equipment hierarchies
IEQM0003 Additional checks before equipment update
