Mask ID in Project profile

Hi Guys,

How can I default Mask ID in Project profile? there is no option in project profile configuration. I am not asking for template.

we have five project profiles. ZA,ZB,ZC,ZD,ZE

we want to use ' + + +' as a mask ID for project profile ZA.. LIke that we want to use different Mask ID for ZB,ZC,ZD,ZE.

Is there any way to default them ?

use substitution rule

if blank then substitute on project defintion field proj-kimsk with +++

first this field will need to be added to the substitutable fields in project defintion

do as per OSS note 20637

add the substitution rule to your project profile e.g ZA

remember to tick automatic substitution in project profile

repeat for all your profiles

Hi Virendra,

I added that field as it says in OSS note you have given. But, the field is not there in substitutions. I can see that in Prerequisite though. Is there anything I am missing here?

have you done this via transaction SE38

Call up Report RGUGBR00 and select the parameters 'Generate table files' and 'Generate substitution routines'.

For application PS

call up area 0110

Hi,

Intially In SM30, in Table V_GB01C, I added Boolean class 70

Table PROJ

Field KIMSK

Type B ( here system is not allowing type S)

as it mentioned in OSS note you mentioned.

After that, I called up the report you mentioned in the previous message and did exactly you mentioned.

Still I am not able to see PROJ-KIMSK field in substitutable fields.

Can you help me on thiss?

you are correct

the field kimsk cannot be set up as substitutable field

hence use exit

Hi,

You cant default mask id in project profile. In my opinion, you could validate whether correct coding mask is used with regards to profile. Refer a similar thread:

Substituition is the correct solution for your requirement as said earlier by Mr. Pal. so do it.
