Hi Guys,

Can anybody help me understanding External Transaction type in the process of configuring Electronic Bank Statement? In my Company, we have to use BAI format for EBS, so is ext transaction type still relevant, and what value I should give while configuring EBS in Ext Tran type field.

Hi,

This are standard coding from the bank that reflects on the bank statement. This will be included on the file format that they will be submitting to you so it is important that this will be maintained in SAP. You need to get this standard coding text from the bank itself.

I have a one more question, what posting rule we can maintain to reflect opening and closing balance in SAP from EBS.
