material to material movt 309: Moving Avg price

Hi Friends,

When a material to material movement 309 is performed, How does the moving aveage price of the Issuing material vary?

I know the a FI documents is created debiting the issuing material price and crediting the receving material price to the approp cost centres.

How does the moving avrage price of the issuing material vary?? Please advise

Hello

There will not be any change in the MAP of the issuing material as the material will be issued at its MAP in the master.

If the receiving material is also valuated at the same price then there is no issue, if not the difference will be posted to income/expense from material transfer account.

I tested this and it the MOVING AVG PRICE changes for the receiving material. As you said, How do i check the difference in change???

Sorry mate

there was a mistake in what i said, the income/expense a/c will come only if the receiving material is valuated at standard price.Other wise the MAP of the receiving material should change. i think so.Really sorry for the mistake
