OEC Computers Theme

I installed the OEC Computers Theme, synced up with the 2007 demo database, and I am using patch 11.

When I select an item and head to check out, I recieve an error:

"Freight rates are not available for this user. Rates have not been defined for this order: the subtotal or weight of the order does not meet the cost structure of and defined rate."

My question is where are rates defined? Also, I have shipping linked in the sync tool.

Hi Jason

In the admin - setup - expenses page there is a shipping expense that you edit. Choose a provider(synched from b1) and enter a cost structure for the chosen provider.

Do you have access to the Web tools eLearning? I believe it shows how to set this up.

Thanks for the help, I ended up stumbling across it. I would like to change the Basis on Shipping from Weight to Volume, but I will look through the learning documents.

Actually the only two options for basis is price and weight.

I assume a custom front end could be built to charge a flat freight charge.

Actually factor and flat charge are the two calculate options for the weight and price basis.

You can have a flat charge based on range of weights or range of order subtotals

0 - 10lbs = $5.00

10 - 25lbs = $15.00

and so on
