How to do Exclusive Checkout...

Hello,

I am trying to modify an ESS Webdynpro application in an NWDI environment and want to check out files exclusively in the Developer Studio....so that nobody else can check it out for Edit...how can I achieve this...?

Hi,

You can try this approach :

Go in to navigator view then go to src--packages folder of your WD DC and choose the file which you want to Edit exclusively .Right click on it from the context menu go to DTR ---and choose Edit(Exclusive) option.

Another approach:

You can also lock your checked out files for open activities view in development configuration perspective.

Select the activity,Choose the files which you want to lock in the activity, Right click on the file and from the context menu choose Locking--Lock file option.
