Hi -

When I execute jcmon on the Central instance with option 10 : Cluster Administration Menu to Display Instance List (option 1) , I get the dialog hostname status as UNKNOWN. The dialogs are up and running.

System information:

kernel release 700

kernel make variant 700_REL

DBMS client library OCI_102 ()

DBSL shared library version 700.08

compiled on SunOS 5.9 Generic_117171-13 sun4u

compiled for 64 BIT

compilation mode UNICODE

compile time Feb 3 2008 21:08:24

update level 0

patch number 146

source id 0.146

Does anyone know if jcmon changed in rel 70 ?

Appreciate a response in advance.

Regards

Mahmood

Probably you are proving problems with the amount of memory consumed by this process, sometimes when the hardware is not enough to support java instance starting, the parent process tends to be lost, so you take back this UNKNOWN status.

Try to verify the amount of memory you have in your server and at the same point try to consider the amount of memory consumed by the jcontrol java process.

In other words jcontrol cannot start the JVM process

Thanks for the reply - but the Java stack is up and running - I can validate it from SM51 it shows J2EE and from the back end the java processes are running. Can login to the individual instances.
