Hi
when I create a new material as a copy of an already existing material certain fields are not copied over (tax code and so on).
However one of my customers has setup the system so that all fields are copied.
When I use his user then it works - all fields are copied over
When I use my user then I have to type in the mandatory fields.
Any clues where one maintains this data?
Thx

transaction SU3 - parameter tab is one option, but it does not directly take values into material master, usually only to selection screens.
I guess the difference beween you and your customer is just that he creates a new material by reference of an existing material.
In that case it is often missed by users to enter as well the organisation data for the copy from
And if this copy from fields are empty, then only general data fields will be copied, but no org specific fields.
Maybe for your customer this copy from fields are automatically filled from SU3 data, while it is not the case for you as you have no values in SU3.
Further it is possible to SAVE the values as default that are entered at pop-up for views and org data.
