Unable to create Web service in ECC 6.0 SP16!

Hi,

I tried to create a web service for a BAPI in SE37.

More Utilities -> Create Web Service -> From Function Module.

I followed the steps in the wizard.

I got the "Object(s) activated" message in SE37.

I opened the transaction WSAdmin.

I can't see the newly created web service.

Any help?

Thanks

Thruna

Not sure what SP it was which delievered the SOAMANAGER transaction, but you may want to try that instead, as WSADMIN is obselete in newer release levels.

Hi Rich,

I tried transaction "SOAMANAGER" and I am able to see my web service.

But when I clicked "Open Web Service navigator for selected binding" in the Web Service Administration page to test the web service. It opens a new window and displaying some symbos (4 squares).

What is the issue?

How do I resolve it?

Thanks

Hi Rich,

I am having the following issue when I try to access after pulished RFC as a web service using the transaction "SOAMANAGER".

I am getting the following error message.

User P00012345, IP address

HTTP request processing failed. HTTP error[403] will be returned. The error is [You are not authorized to view the requested resource. No details available].

SAP BASIS can access the web service in "SOAMANAGER" without any isssues.

Do I need any specific security role to access/test the web service?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks

Try role SAP_BC_WEBSERVICE_ADMIN_TEC.
