4.6C on Itanium and HP-UX 11.31

Hi Experts, my organization wants to migrate 4.6C from the present OS(HP-UX 11.11) and hardware to HP-Itanium and OS version 11.31 with SAP remaining at the same version.

I want to know if it can be done and what are the patches or kernel updates which have to be done if any are required.

Can you please give me some valuable inputs and any SAP notes regarding this.

(I assume you use Oracle as database)

It lists which kernel and database combinations are supported and which patches are needed.

I have similar migration plan, too. (from PA-RISC to Itanium, and not upgrade SAP 4.6C to newer verion)

So, should I need SAP MA (maintenance contract) to do the migration?

It´s a homegeneous copy - see

so no - no OSDB migration contract needed.

Please refer to the following notes from service marketplace and look for the DB combination that you have in your system( as you have not given any detail of DB)
