Hi,
While creating Project Role in cProject the system is not allowing me to create the Project Role.
The screen comes in display mode and a error message is displayed "Project role type is not defined in Customizing"
But I have created a project role type for the project type.

Check your authorizations for the project. You should have resource management rights...

Hi,
I gave the authorization to user.
But the main problem was with WFM Core Server.
I had maintained the link with that server. Hence when I was go to the screen and creating the role for first time it was searching for WFM core server for qualification search.
But here I don't have the WFM Core Server installed.
Hence even after authorization the screen was in display.
I removed the link from that in SPRO.
Now the screen is in create/edit mode.
Thanks for your help.

Pavan
Problem Solved

We are using cProjects 4.5 in an IDES and we don´t intend to use WFM.
When I log onto the portal I get a message:
'Communication with the WFM Core system is not possible' .
Also I am not able to create a Role in the Resource view of Projects . I am getting the message 'First create a new project role. Use the appropriate function - Create Role - on the left-hand side. ' The button 'Create Role' is greyed out.
Would you mind giving me some details on what config changes you made in SPRO to have this issue solved?
Hi,
You need to go to the SPRO path
Collaboration Projects --> Resource Management --> Qualification Management --> Activate Qualification Search and Matchup Using WFM Core
Here remove the tick in "Value Abbr."
Also Acivate HR Integration in Business Partner if you want that.
Revert if helpful.

If the field is in display mode, then I agree it should be a matter of authorizations.
You should have at least a "write" authorization for this MTG element if I remember well.

Hello,
Maybe a silly question: after creating the project role type caracteristics in customizing, did you also assign it to one or several project type?
