create subnumber for asset

Hi

I created asset 10058 in T.code AS01. But when I create subnumber for asset 10058, it notice error:

"Main asset number 10058 does not exist

Message no. AA178

Diagnosis

Main asset number 10058 does not exist.

System Response

The system cannot find the ANLH record for this main number.

Procedure

Enter an existing main asset number or choose an asset using the asset matchcode to help you"

Please help me to fix that error

Dear,

The system cannot find the ANLH record for this main number.

ANLH - Main asset number is a table in SAP which contains main numbers of assets per company code.

Since the creation and assigning of assets in SAP system is done by FI part, I suggest to contact FI consultant in your business to define / create / update the ANLH table.
