BW-BPS: Copy value from characteristic 1 to characteristic 2

Hi,

I need an advice. I have an planning cube with planned data. Now, the sales managers need another new

characteristic for reporting. I'm looking for a planningfunction in BW-BPS to copy the value vom characteristic 1 to characteristic 2 for each record. I have to copy the value vom 0MATERIAL to

the new characteristic 0MAT_SALES.

which is the best and easiest way to afford that. Exit-Funktion?

This can be done in exit, and its also possible to use Fox formula.

If you have to do this for all the data in the cube, how about using some BW modelling technique for this ( using update rule, or remodeling (if you are in BI7) ) ?

Yes, we use BI 7.0 but I never tried remodeling.

I tested the remodeling and it worked fine.
