diffrence between Reset and Reset and reverse : FBRA

Hi,

any one tell me what is the diffrence between Reset and Reset and reverse while using Tcode: FBRA.

pl explain me with accouting entries

Hi,

Only reset is to break the relation or link between open item and cleared item.

In case of reset and reverse the cleared item is reset to open item and reversed. As a cleared item cant be reversed directly.

The entries are

Customer A/c dr

To sales A/c

(this a open item )

Bank A/c dr

To customer A/c

( in this entry you are clearing an open item)

If you want to reverse this entry with FB08, it will not allow you to reverse it.

For resetting no entry is passed, only the link between first entry and second entry is broken and then reverse entry can be passed.
