Hi Romero,

Execute program EWULKUSR in SE38 to lock all users in SAP.

Thanks,

Saby..

Do you really want to lock ALL users?

Hi,

Use SU10 or Write the query to lock the user ID.

As you can imagine, this question has been asked before and as a consequence has been asnwered several times even with different "correct" answers.

If you search for these, you will find them (see also the sticky thread at the top of the forum). Keep an eye out for "BAPI_USER_LOCK" and "do not update SAP tables" when going about this...

Cheers,

Hi Boris,

Went thru the discussion.

Pl try one more thing

in SU10 put * in the user name and make a search

It will give the list of all users.

Select all and Enter

Click the lock button to lock all the users Ctrl+F5

Hi manas,

Yes you are right it can be done this way, but remember that

not all the users will be pulled into the list, limited no of users will be shown.

I think it would be better if we go with other options like EWZ5 etc etc , as told before.

thanks

I'm working on a system which will eventually have something like 14.000 named users. 1500 is a fairly small amount.

9999 is acceptable but surely no limit.

I can think of a number of companies who would have some problems and doubts in SAP if the limit were 9999.

Perhaps you missed a 9 (meaning 99999 is the limit)?

Hi all,

I wonder why would some one try to lock all the users in a REAL system.

and comming to number of users, our client has somewhere around 26000 users,

so 9999 is a very normal figure.

Perhaps it is needed for a "maintenance window"?
