Return Delivery posting for Usage Decision

Hello Experts

I am doing UD for good receipt inspection and at UD time I posted my quantity to 'Return Delivery"

In doing so it created material document with MT 122.

I would like to know if this transfer posting also creates a return delivery?

How do I verify that my trasnsfer posting is is done correctly.

In other words I would like to know what is the expeted outcome if I post my stock to return delivery during UD and how do I verify it.What are the next steps after this.

For returns from the UD screen, as delivered by SAP, it does not create a return delivery. It basically revereses the receipt. It is as if the delivery never took place.

The reason for this is that under best practices, SAP expects that you inspect the shipment prior to unloading it. If you fail the UD, it expects that you do not unload it and you refuse shipment. While ideal, it is not practical in many industries. So many places restrict the batch or post to blocked stock and then do a manual return delivery.
