stock transfer from SAP to Non SAP systems

Hi Gurus

We produce a product in plant 2090 and then stock transport it to another plant which is not in SAP (legacy). The plant will go live 2 years later. Is there any specific procedure you like to share with me.

Thanks

KT

Hi,

You can create a dummy plant (to replicate legacy system - another plant) in the SAP system.

Ask the user to do goods receipt entry (Transaction MIGO) in the SAP dummy plant when ever a stock transport order is created for the legacy system plant.

When the users issue/sells the products from another plant in the legacy system, at certain intervals, say for example once in a week, the users can issue the goods from the dummy plant created in the SAP system (using transaction code MIGO_GI - Movement type 231) against a dummy sales order. All the user needs to do is create a dummy order and issue the goods using movement type 231, whenever products are sold from another plant in the legacy system. This is because movement type 231 always needs a reference sales order. You even need not maintain any material number in the dummy sales order.

By this way, the users can see the inventory levels in the dummy plant. They can also include this dummy plant in the MRP run, so that the requirements are captured properly.

Regards,
