Hello,
I am trying to use variables in an open hub extraction in BW 7.0. I thought i could simply use the same variables that are used in a query that hits the same data target as the infospoke. However when i did a pull down on the variable screen of the of the filter area of the DTP i did not see the variables. The system let me hard code them and activate the DTP but when i executed the extraction i got a short dump saying INVALID_VARIABLE.
Has anyone seen this before in open hub? What causes this dump? Is there a trick to using variables in open hub extractions? I would simply like to be able to choose filters for certain fields in my extraction at run time.
Thanks,
TMS
Does anyone have a solution for me? I'm still looking for a way to enter selection criteria at run time of my open hub extraction. Will i be able to change the filters in a closed production system or is there another way? I know open hub has an object changeability entry but is filter enabled there? Any thoughts?
Regards,
TMS
