I see that everytime I sell an item that is made of a Sales BOM, its Gross Profit is 100% . How can i change it so its cost is the summary of its components ?
Hi,
It is the system definition. The logic behind this behaviour is that Sales BOM is defined as sales, non-purchase and non-inventory item. It means it does not have a cost price and there the result of gross profit calculation is 100%.
Check the following if the explanation helps :

Hi Hector,
please access this Wiki page for an explanation of system logic & 2 workarounds:
[Why does an item which is defined as a Sales Bill of Materials show 100% as gross profit in the Gross Profit window? |https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=50561094]

Hi Hector,
The 100% GP showed by B1 for sales BOM is hard coded because sales BOM item is not a true item by the definition. This item is only used to combine the actual items to sell. There is no cost involved.
If you want to know the GP of this "Item", you can always make your own query report for it.
Thanks,
Gordon
