The user is not authorized to delete data from the InfoCube

Hi BI Gurus,

I have an Infocube in which there are around 5 requests.

I am able to delete the complete data.

My problem is, I am not able to delete a particular request.

The deletion job is getting successful, but in the job log it says "The user is not authorized to delete data from the InfoCube". Because of which the particular request in the infocube is not getting deleted.

I am not able to find any trace regarding authorization problem in either SU53 or ST01.

Any help is welcome.

I am working in BI7.0 with service pack 17.

Please make sure the status of the request is set to red.

Request with status green cannot be deleted .

Could you please check the authorization values for authorization objetc S_RS_ICUBE in the role assigned to you (transaction PFCG)? Pls, tell me the authorization values for these authorization fields within S_RS_ICUBE:

Is that request compressed?

Do u hv aggregates over the cube?

Hi Shaw Nawaz,

There are no aggregates on this cube and no compression has done for this cube.

I am able to delete the complete data from the cube. But the problem is I am not able to delete a particular request.

hi,

Try to give these selections

03, 06, 23, 66 for the activity code no need for 63 as you should not activate anything in production.

Add these values in the first level.

Now I can see you have access to only 03 and 66 for S_RS_ICUBE which is display and refresh and thats why you are facing the issue.

Here are the activity codes and there meaning.

03 Display

06 Delete

23 Maintain

63 Activate

66 Refresh

Just change it and let us know if it works.

This means I am giving authorization to delete the data. It should also allow me delete request by request.

If I give 06 (delete) authorization in the first level, it will allow to delete the cube also.

Correct me if I am wrong.

Ajeet, with your advice, I have done some logical changes to my role, tomorrow it will be transported to production. Lets see the outcome of this. I hope it should work.
