What challanges are faced when building a Netweaver BI which has an SAP-ECC on iseries/db2 and SAP-ECC on linux/oracle as source systems. Same standard extractors will run against both source systems.

here's a few that I can think of right away:
- you need to make sure that either you clearly indicate in the BI (master) data where it comes from (using 0LOGSYS as an attribute for example), or create new InfoObjects for one system (doing that at my current project actually)
- logical partitioning makes a lot of sense in that kind of environment (InfoProviders per source system and MultiProviders on top of them)
- keep your process chains separate for each source system as well
