No reference business partner is maintained for consumers for CRM 2007ICSS

while configuring the B2C User registration in CRM 2007 Web Channel I get the error "No reference business partner is maintained for consumers ". I have checked all the roles and the reference user. Nothing seems to be wrong here.

Can any of you help me in this regard?

Create a BP with role sold to party or consumer and maintain the sales area as per requirement. Assign that BP in spro -> crm -> master data -> Business partner ->basic settings -> maintain ref. BP for consumer.

Check if you have a contact person in the cusotmer master record.
