Download Oracle Database 10g Release (10.2) and required patches

Hi

I need to upgrade Database from 9.2.0.7 to 10.2.

So I need to get the Oracle Database 10g Release (10.2) Software and latest patches sets and required patches.

SAP 4.7

Kernel Release: 640 with Patch 221

Windows2000 Patch 4

I am not able to find out where to download Oracle Software and Required Patches from [url] service.sap.com

Please let me know.

Pick there whatever application (e. g. ERP and select your CDs). You can also directly search for the CDs:

51031678 DVD ORACLE RDBMS 10.2 Windows

The actual patches you get

http://service.sap.com/swcenter-3pmain

--> Oracle

--> Oracle 10.2.0.4

--> Database RDBMS

--> MS Windows (32-bit)

Download there the patchset 10.2.0.4 itself and the latest interim patch 10204_Patch8_WIN32.zip .

Hi

Utter Confusion

When i navigated to first path :

SAP R/3 ENTERPRISE 47X110 -> ORACLE -> Windows Server

Windows-- > Oracle

I didn't get any CD to download with name: 51031678

But When i Navigated to 2nd Path:

Installations and Upgrades" SAP NetWeaver" SAP NETWEAVER" SAP NETWEAVER 04

Windows-- > Oracle

I got 5 CD for Oracle 10.2 with name Ex: 51031678_1

So I have got two doubts.

1. Why these CDs are not available in first path where as SAP

4.7 with necessary Patch and Kernel level is compatible with

10.2 and i my curretn SAP version is SAP 4.7.

2. Can i I download from the 2nd path where as it for

NETWEAVER" SAP NETWEAVER 04 not for SAP 4.7

Yes, you do not really care from which section you take it, as long as it is valid, and in this case, it<s the same CD label, so, it is safe.

2nd: Will the CDs mentioned in the 2nd path be comatible with my SAP Verison which is 4.7??

So this is the way SAP Follows or this case is just an exception??

Because at the time the installation CDs for 4.7 were created Oracle 10g was not released (4.7 is some years old).

Yes. The database DVDs are similar for all installations.
