I set the following parameters in initSID.sap
backup_type = offline
backup_dev_type = stage
compress = yes
archive_stage_dir = mbi_stg
remote_host = MBPROD
remote_user = "sidadm password" of source system that is IDES

Cant get where im missing. Pls provide inputs.
in initSID.ora, look for parameter LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST or LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_1.
check that this path exists and also check that there are indeed recent offline redo logs in this directory to back up.

Hi Rahul, Actually in BRARCHIVE we can use this function to Copy, Delete, Save so that the log files are saved in two different TAPE place before they get deleted from Archive Directory.
