please help. in real time does a MM support consultant is allowed to customize screen like MRP view, SALES view in material master. also during implementation to what level screens do MM poeple handle?

Yes till the time system does not go live it is the responsibility of MM consultant to iscuss with the Core Team and manage the entire thing.

The extent is that you can mak some fields mandatory, some optional, some hidden or display. This is the best you can do as far managing of screens is concerned.

But yes till Go Live consultant has to do everything, after Go-Live conultant should not even have a user id to access any system. If any changes are to be made then consultabt only has to guide the core team and all changes have to be done by Core Team

Field selection for material master is controleed from material type- get the respective field reference from material type configuration

then in logistics general-material master- field selection - click on above field reference

you will see relevant fields from tables like MARA, MVKE,MARC etc

select field you want to control and make as display, hide, optional and mandatory

MM consultant has to change field selection settings for material master, vendor master and purchasing documents

In support projects they will not be authorised to change any or do customising settings at all as SPRO access will be resticted to the consultants once the go-live is happened.

In implementation the MM consultant will have the authorisation to do anything which he wants which is described by the business requirement. Usually they will deal with the MM views and upon request by the other consultants he can take up the work of the other screens as well. other consultants are also given authorisation to do this, that is the reason Material master configuration is present under LO in SPRO.

how much authorizations have been given to u

the mm screens are customize at time of implementation only as per client requirement or busioness requirement

changing them in runnning bussiness will be authorised by higher autherities
