Storage bin

Dear All,

In a plant Storage Location is defined as "General Stores" (GNST). In General Stores separate areas (bins) are manually defined to store different materials. These manually defined Bins have been numbe red, which I need to accomodate in the SAP material master who is this possible? I also want to print those bin numbers in the stock statement.

Please let me know the work around.

In case one material is stored always in one bin (not in several at the same time) then you can enter this info in the warehouse bin field in material master storage location view (make sure you entered the storage location when you go into the material master, without giving storage location, this field is not visible)

what is a stock statement?

This field is just displayed in MMBE, and it can be used in MI31 physical inventory for selection and sorting.

That are the only two usages for this field I know.

Any other use has to be developed by yourself.

As I already said: the 2 transactions that use this field are MMBE and MI31.

If you want it for MB52, then have a programmer copy the report to a Zreport and have him add this field somewhere.

Hi buddy

I would like to go for Age analysis storage Bin wise. We have storage location wise the datas are taken from S032. but Storage Bin is not there in these table. Also it is periodic stock not standard otherwise i could use MARD table.

Can you tell how you are manageging?

The MM storage bin has a one to one relation to the storage location.

you cannot have many different storage bins for one material in one storage location, hence you can do your analysis on storage location level.
