Sum formula in XL Reporter

Dear all,

When I am using XL reporter, I would like to get the sum of the expanding section in the next row. I've tried =sum(ixref(D12,2)) in D11 cell, but it doens't work.

Please kindly help.

HI Julie,

A simple solution is put the sum under the expanding section first.

Make another cell on top equal to that sum.

In this way, the formular will work.

Thank you for your reply.

I've tried a couple of times and realized the formula =sum(ixref(d11, 2) works for upper and lower vertically. The reason why it didn't work is because I created a row expanding section for an account code in row D.

Anyway, it works fine now.Thank you!

Hi.

In XLR toolbar you have a f(x) (functions) button. This will give access to some sum functions you could use.

Dear Runar,

I've got the formula =sum(ixref(d12,2)) from the FX function, however, it is only for sum up of the above cell, not below.

I'm trying to get a formula for sum of below column.
