Adaptive computing 7.1: How to setup https-Communication to Hostagent

Hello,

after installing ACC 7.1 successfully on Linux SLES9 / Oracle 10.2.0.2 we try to configure our resources.

The question is: Do I need a secure communication (https) to the hostagents? If yes how do I do this?

In the logfile sapstartsrv.log it is obvious, that this is not prepared by the installation. There are error messages about missing sapcryptolib, ticket-File, SAPSSLS.PSE and so on.

In the Online Documentation (see Link) one can find:

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/en/46/07149ee3f34f08e10000000a114a6b/frameset.htm

"The default communication between ACC and the Agent Infrastructure is HTTP based. To change the communication based on HTTPS, SSL has to be configured in the manager system.

For more information about Manager System configuration, see ..."

So the question is: Do I need a secure communication (https) to the hostagents? Or do I better ignore the error messages?

Where can I find a documentation about how to set up a secure communication between ACC an the hostagents?

Thank you a lot!

Sincerely Jens
