Can anybody tell me what is Development server, production server, Testing server and how transfer data server to server.

in implemementaion we maintain the Development server for the purpose of craeting the IMG requests as per the Client requirment,and the traning aspects will be carried in this and also ABAP developments are created in the dev server.

IMG settings will be saves against the customization requset,the ABAP development will be saved against the work bench requsts , these are released from SE10 t-code.

once these are released, thses requsets are imported in test server. in test server all the client process requirments tested completely.

then after testing the requsts are transported to PRD server.

This is the way to transport the request.

DEV->QUALITY->PRODUCTION.

only u have the rite to release the request.

hope u know that how it will be done through se09/se10.

rest of the job(to move it quality and production) done by BASIS,

once ur object is successfully tested in quality then only it will be better to move Production.

I think you can do it in the following manner:

(1) Go to SE10.Find your request number , then you will see one development request number and one correction number.

(2) First click on correction number and the goto toolbar and click on the transfer request button(lorry icon).

(3)The at the bottom bar you will find the change icon will transfer in a RED-YELLOW-GREEN sequnce.once it became red you will know that it has succesfully transferred.

(4)Now again go to find your request number and transfer it in the same manner.
