confirming new orders first instead of old orders

Hi Experts,

We have one issue where for some materials its confiming new orders instead of old orders. Old orders are still in open. can you please help us to find the root cause ?

Plz check out followings:

the item category which used in open S/O is renvent for Sch. line or not

Req type is asigned to item cat or not

Sch. line is created or not, if yes find the checking rule and checking group for that particular req type is assigned or not.

Check the delivery priority in the new orders.

Hi,

Check the req. delivery dates in old orders and I am sure they are in past. So, in that case you need to process them as back-orders via V_RA
