Can we have multiple groups on the same hierarchy level?

For example:

Presently Crystal report shows like this..

SID1

Schema1

User1

User2

SID2

Schema2

I want to have the hierarchy like this...

SID1

Schema1

User1

User2

SID2

Schema1

Mean Schema and users are at the same level under SID.

Thanks & Regards,

Amrita

Hi Amrita,

I am sorry, but am I not sure I understand the question, as I do not see differences between how Crystal Reports doing it and what you will like to accomplish. Can you provide another example and furher details.

thanks,

Patrick

Hi Patrick,

Apologies for giving the wrong example. I try to explain the problem.

Consider a Hierarchy like this...SID1 have two Schemas,u201DSchema1 and Schema2u201D.Schema1 has user1 and Schema 2 has user2.Now when I do the grouping in crystal report first by SID then by Schema and then by User, I get the output like this.

SID1 //Level1

Schema1 //Level2

User1 //Level3

Schema2 //Level2

User2 //Level3

Can we get the Hierarchy something like this?

SID1 //Level1

Schema1 //Level2

Schema2 //Level2

User1 //Level2

User2 //Level2

I hope I am clear this time.

Thanks & Regards,

Amrita

Hi Amrita,

It is unfortunatelty not possible to change the way to group the information in the order you want.

If you want to display the information, without grouping it, then you might be able to acheive this by using formulas, or by using subreports. For example, the main report only display all the SID, then you can insert a subreport in the report footer that displays all the Schemas, and finally a subreport that displays all the users.

Hope this help!

Patrick
