Hello Guys,
We have transported objects from Dev IR to QA and Prod. However I can't see the object history in QA or Prod - not only for the initial transport but for the subsequent changes as well.
The setting for the SWCV in QA and Prod are:
Objects are Original objects : not checked
Objects are Modifiable : not checked.
And I think it's correct based on Sap doc.
Let me know your views regarding the same.
Regards.
Hi,
I think If you do any changes on QA & PRD servers means, you will be ab;e to see the History log there.

You will see only the object hostory in terms of the object versions that were transported.
Eg:
In Dev you create 3 active versions and transport the 3d version to QA. in QA you will see no history as the 3rd version is the 1st active version in QA.
Make 2 more version in Dev, and when you transport version 5 to QA, you will see that Version 3 is now the 1 version available in QA in history and so on.
Basically the versions in QA and Prod will be the active versions transported from Dev to QA. The historic versions of Dev willl nbot be transported.
The TPZ you create is a version of the current and not previous versions.

Hi,
there should be no difference between the file-based transport and the CTS+ transport concerning the history of objects and transports.
Yet it is not yet completely clear to me which history you are referring to. The version history of single objects or the history of transports.
If it is the transport history then you will find the transport with the objects contained by that transport within
the changelist tab page under the section closed within the ESR/XI GUI. Please check this in the QA system.
If you are talking about the object history of single objects then that can be found within the first menu of the object editor itself.
But here you will find only the different versions of that object which had been imported into that system - independent from the transports
they belonged to. As a result you won't find any additional entry when you import two times the same version of an given object - even
when the version is part of two different transports. You also will not find any entry of older object versions which had not been
transported.
A further hint is that the deletion of a SWCV will delete also the version history. That means that if you deleted the SWCV within the QA system
then the history had also been deleted at this time.
Regards
Frank
